Research Abstract

We dealt with earth science and environmental education effects of Geopark and a possibility of a creation of Geopark in Kitakyushu and surrounding areas.
We designed some geo trails in Kitakyushu area and examined education effect and then found that Geopark was effective for environmental education, and allow the participators to open "a vista for the future". Kitakyushu area has various geological frameworks ; this led us to consider satisfactory a possibility of Geopark in Kitakyushu area.
