| Research Abstract |
携帯電話は、障害者にとって潜在的には最も使用してみたいIT機器の一つであるが、使用するには健常者の使用を前提としたユーザ・インタフェース等の問題から操作に大きな困難を伴う機器でもあると言える。本研究では携帯電話とRSSに着目し、このRSSにおけるテキストを自動的に音声化→メールの添付ファイルで登録ユーザに送付→携帯電話で音声試聴というシステムを提案する。これはリアルタイムで様々な情報を音声で提供可能な、いわゆるポッドキャスト型システムとなり、視覚障害者に対しても自動的にニュース等の情報を音声で提供できる可能性を有すと考えられる
