Research Abstract

家族性乳癌原因因子BRCA2と、そのN末端領域に結合する因子PALB2の遺伝学的相互作用を、脊椎動物細胞で容易に遺伝子破壊を行うことができるニワトリBリンパ球DT40細胞を用いて解析した。PALB2の相同組換えにおける機能は、いずれもBRCA2の持つ機能の一部に含まれていた。このことからPALB2遺伝子はBRCA2遺伝子の下で、BRCA2と同じ相同組換え経路で働いていると結論した。
