Research Abstract

本研究では環境汚染物質であるPAHについて、従来注目されていなかった干潟における挙動を明らかにした。PAHの光化学反応において、マンガン酸化物が触媒として作用する事を明らかにした。特に干潟では海水中に含まれる塩化物イオンや臭化物イオンを基にしてハロゲン化PAHsを生じると予想される。実際の干潟からもPAH塩素化体が検出され、その濃度は日照時間とともに増加する傾向を示した。これらの結果は、本研究の仮説を強く支持するものである。
