Research Abstract

SiC(0001)基板を真空中で加熱して得られる高密度高配向カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)にC^<60>を内包させ、高密度高配向ピーポッドを作製した。作製したピーポッドは透過電子顕微鏡で構造を観察した。高分解能電子顕微鏡観察から、CNT内にC^<60>がランダムに内包されている様子が観察された。これは、用いたCNTが直径約5nmと比較的大きなマルチウォールであるため、C^<60>がCNT内に一次元的ではなく、ランダムに内包されたことによるものだと考えられる。
