| Research Abstract |
出羽山形の地域特性の歴史的展開に関する共同研究を、まず(1)出羽内陸発展論、(2)地域自己認識論、(3)奥羽宗教信仰圏論、(4)「奥羽の商都」論、を立てて各メンバーが分担し、その上で共同により古代より産業革命以前までの通史的な考察をおこなう方法により実施した。その結果、山形を中心とする出羽南域内陸地方(山形県村山地方)は高度な経済発展を遂げており、それを基盤に都市的な発展もみられ政治・宗教文化の諸活動が活発におこなわれた地域特性を有することをあきらかにした。
