Research Abstract

人口密度分布の各国規模のスケールでのメッシュデータを用い、人口密度ポテンシャルの概念を導入して、境界地問題として数値的に解析する技術の確立と、実際の適用を行った。特に日本、ベトナム、中国といった、特色のある人口密度分布が見られる国について計算した。この計算により、地理的にどういった地域が人を引き付けているのか、あるいは地域の持つ人口密度分布を決定する要素について、定性的な議論のみならず定量的な分析が可能となる基礎資料を提示することが出来た。また、人口動態論などでのモデルを確立する過程として議論されて来た問題を、非線形段階で定量的に取り扱うことが初めて可能となった。
