| Research Abstract |
日本の中世から近世にかけての絵巻物や絵本において、独特の描かれ方をすることが多い武士の顔貌や肉体表現の起源と状況を比較考察し、兜の下の目鼻立ちを描く手順と仏教美術の影響に因るところが多いことを指摘した。同時に研究対象の一部として撮影した、明星大学本『平家物語』絵本・『北野通夜物語』絵巻・『十番切』絵巻の挿絵・詞書を含む全図版に書誌・翻刻・挿絵解説を付け、奈良絵本・絵巻データベースとしてWEB公開した。
