Research Abstract |
I had mainly carried on a research study at the National Museum of Ethnology of Vienna(Wiener Museum fur Volkerkunde) and State Museum of Bavaria (Bayerische StaatsBibliothek) for finding the rare japanese illustrated manuscripts and picture scrolls owned by them. I had done a bibliographic research of the reproduction and transcriptions and texts and of the related collections owned by other overseas museum and libraries and those available in Japan. The results of the work will be published, a book of A5 size and 966 pages in the fiscal year 2010, by the Kasama Shoin in under the title of "The Compilation on Study in Collection of Important Japanese Illustrated Manuscripts and Picture Scrolls Owned by the Museums and Libraries Abroad" in number (225028) by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results".2010, for which the permission for using their articles had granted. It contains two major parts, namely the study volume consisting of four chapters and the five works, consisting of the two additional papers. More over, reproduction volume with the eleven works. Its detailed descriptions will be given in the "4 article of the study results, subject number (19520163) in Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research(C).
