| Research Abstract |
アメリカ文学に見られる場所と人間の関係、および自然と社会・経済との関係について、生命地域主義の視点、特にそこに見られる〈共生〉の思想に焦点を当てることで再検討し、ニューイングランド文学に見られる再定住の意識の形成、19世紀アメリカ女性作家の環境意識、ポストコロニアリズムとエコクリティシズムの理論的融合、生命地域主義と現代社会との関係といった検討課題の内容を一定程度明らかにすることができた。
