| Research Abstract |
This project attempted to reexamine and reconstruct the history of the Chinese Revolution. I excavated the complete works of Wei Jun-yi and related materials, and through analyzing them I revealed that it is still extremely difficult to tell the "true story" in China where "altering" and "eliminating" a part of its history is not uncommon. I also demonstrated that despite such a tendency, there exist some Chinese intellectuals who feel responsible for preserving "real" historical materials as contemporaries living in this age and are making efforts to do so for future generations. As a product of this project, I presented papers at two academic conferences as well as published two articles and a biographical note on Wei Jun-yi.
