Research Abstract |
This research is the trial to clarify the change that pepple believed in the idea on pollution in early modern period. During the midieval period,Japanese people were worried about the pollution of death. They believed that a dead body was polluted. But,in 19 century, people in Kyoto began to change gradually. Such idea became outdated due to more rational beliefs.A part of result was published as a work of mine "The death and political culture in early modern period".
