Research Abstract	本研究は、自然と人間の関係史を探る一環として、災害をめぐる地域社会の対応に焦点をあて、木曽三川流域の土石流災害を中心に検討を行ったものである。特に重点を置いたのは、可能な限り共有データを構築することであり、揖斐川下流域の断層谷周辺で起きる災害情報など、流域での土石流災害史料の収集・整理を行った。さらに、こうした史料の精査を通じて、災害を通してみた地域社会の特質、災害と地域の関係性の一端を明らかにした。
