Research Abstract

本研究は、日本における女性の政治的過少代表(女性議員が少ない状態)の要因を、国際比較の文脈から分析することを目的に、文献調査、国内調査(関係者へのインタヴュー、アンケート)および海外現地調査(クオータ制度)を実施した。その結果、日本女性の過少代表の原因は、選挙制度、政党の態度、政治文化、クオータ制度の有無などから多面的に説明できるが、政治に対する女性の意識や行動が最も重要な要因であることが明らかにされた。
