Research Abstract |
This study has investigated whether development aid is allocated efficiently. Using project-level data, we examined the inter-recipient allocation of aid in each sector and the inter-sectoral allocation in each recipient country. We also developed a theoretical model that explains the desirable allocation in each recipient and evaluated actual aid flows to some major recipients.
