Research Abstract

EUの誘導(安定化・連合プロセス)により、西バルカン諸国でいかに改革と経済発展が進み、EU加盟に向けて前進したかを2年間研究した。その結果、経済改革、外国直接投資(FDI)流入、EU加盟に向けた準備の点で、西バルカン諸国の中でも大きな地域差があることが再確認できた。CEFTA(中欧自由貿易協定)を利用して、西バルカン諸国のための自由貿易の枠組みが形成されたこと、また、インフラ・エネルギー(電力・ガス)の分野での域内協力が徐々に進んでいるが確認できた。英文の報告書A Study on the European Union's Stabilization and Association Process and Economic Development in the Western Balkans(60頁)を2009年3月末に刊行し、直ちに外国の研究者(約200人)と国内の研究者(約120人)に送付した。研究期間に発表した雑誌論文は10件、学会発表6件、図書2件である。
