Research Abstract

惑星の材料物質の分布を明らかにするために、原始惑星系円盤でのダストダイナミクスを明らかにする基礎研究を進めた。まずは、中心星の光を表面に受けた円盤の熱的な安定性を調べた。その結果、質量降着率が一定値を下回ると、円盤表面に熱的波動が形成され、内側へ伝搬することが明らかになった。その前面では内部領域の温度が上昇してリング状の高まりが形成され、背面では影領域となって温度が低下することがわかった。波動の伝搬時間は数十年で、その変化は円盤のスペクトルエネルギー分布の変化として観測可能であることを指摘した(Watanabe & Lin, 2008)。さらに、その波動伝搬に伴い、円盤のスペクトルエネルギー分布の10年スケールの経年変化および、高分解能の遠赤外線の撮像観測によるリングの移動が観測可能であることを予測した。また、その不安定により生じる渦におけるダスト集積を解析した。
一方、惑星集積過程におけるダスト円盤の形成に関しては、ダストの昇華を考慮した天体力学計算を進め、外側領域でダストが生成されると、ポインティング・ロバートソン効果によってダストは内側領域へと供給され、温度上昇によるダスト昇華によってダストリングが形成されることを明らかにした。ダストの濃集度は、中心星光度やダスト組成(光学特性)によって変化することが明らかになった(Kobayashi et al. 2008)。さらに、ダストの移動と濃集度を半解析的に定式化をした(Kobayashi et al. 2009)。さらにダストの生成過程・破壊過程を微惑星ダイナミクスから与え、質量分布関数の変化を記述する計算コードを開発し、これを用いて惑星集積時のダスト生成の様子を解析している。
