Research Abstract

放射性炭素は宇宙線が大気中の窒素などと衝突して生成され樹木などに固定されるため、古木年輪は過去の宇宙線強度変動を記録している。4万年前に地球に降り注いでいた宇宙線強度およびその当時の太陽活動を調べるために、古木の単年輪中の放射性炭素濃度測定を行った。古木年輪による太陽11年周期変動探索法について約2万5千年前の古木により調べ、約4万年前の古木単年輪の測定を行った。
