Research Abstract

完全に一般相対論的なシミュレーションを系統的に実行して、ブラックホールと中性子星からなる連星の合体前の状態、中性子星が合体前に潮汐破壊される条件、合体過程、合体後誕生する天体の特徴、放射される重力波の波形、合体後に誕生するブラックホール周りの降着園パンの性質などを明らかにした。特に、合体後にブラックホールと降着円盤からなる系が誕生する条件を明らかにし、また中性子星が潮汐破壊される場合には、破壊時に放射される重力波の波形から中性子星の半径に対して制限を与えることが可能であることを示した。
