Research Abstract

複数のスピンが強く結合したスピン多量体を基本単位として相互作用している系について、その磁気励起を拡張されたホルシュタイン・プリマコフ理論を用いて研究した。その結果、量子臨界点近傍においてスピン多量体の量子効果によって磁気モーメントが大きく縮む場合には、モーメントの伸び縮みに対応した振幅モードスピン波が低励起に現れることを示した。このモードは中性子散乱に強い散乱強度をもち、ラマン散乱は振幅モードを選択的に観測する良いプローブであることも見出した。このように、振幅モードの観点から、磁気励起の新しい側面を明らかにした。
