Research Abstract |
I have theoretically investigated strong coupling effects in the BCS-BEC crossover regime of an ultra-cold Fermi gas. Using a strong-coupling fluctuation theory, I have studied pseudo-gap phenomena in the density of states, as well as single-particle spectral weight, in the normal state above the superfluid phase transition temperature. I showed how the pseudo-gap disappears as one increases the temperature, and determined the pseudo-gap temperature over the entire BCS-BEC crossover region.
