Research Abstract

上部マントルでマグマが発生し地殻へ移動するまでの過程と、その間のマグマおよび上部マントル物質の化学的変化を明らかにするため、幌満かんらん岩体中のダナイトチャネルと壁岩を構成する鉱物の主成分・微量元素およびRb-Sr 同位体組成を求めた。その結果、(1)ダナイトチャネルと壁岩の両輝石はともにサブソリダス下で化学的平衡にあり、この平衡をもたらしたイベントのRb-Sr 年代は50-70Ma と推測できる、(2)両輝石を晶出したメルト組成は、島弧マグマの特徴を持つものの、島弧マグマで特徴的なNb の負異常が認められない、ことがわかった。これらの結果から、幌満岩体に産するダナイトチャネルは、約50Ma に海嶺の沈み込みで生じた玄武岩質メルトの通過で生じたと考察される。
