Research Abstract

分岐高分子の特性解析および分子形態に関する研究は専ら、柔軟な高分子鎖からなるものに限られてきた。しかしながら、近年高機能性材料として用いられる高分子の多くは半屈曲性の高分子であるので、半屈曲性分岐高分子の希薄溶液物性の詳細な研究が望まれている。本研究では、代表的な半屈曲性高分子であるポリヘキシルイソシアナート(PHIC)に着目し、PHICマクロモノマーの新規合成法の確立、低分子量コモノマーとの(共)重合反応性の評価、さらにPHICマクロモノマーの単独重合で得られる高密度ブラシ状高分子の分子形態学に関する希薄溶液論的特性化について詳細な研究を行った。
