| Research Abstract |
メチオニン残基に含まれるチオエーテル側鎖は様々な相互作用形式をとることが知られており, その柔軟性が多様な分子認識を可能にしていると考えられる。本研究では個々の生物学的応答に対する相互作用様式を探るため, メチオニン側鎖の相互作用形式を制限した疑似モデル(ミメティック)としてフッ素化アミノ酸を利用し, 生体防御にかかわる生物活性応答を引き起こすのに必要な標的タンパクとチオエーテル側鎖の相互作用形式を見いだした。
