Research Abstract

ポリスチレン微粒子/シリカ微粒子の自己組織化により作製したシリカ周期性多孔体(逆オパール膜)にアゾベンゼン分子側鎖を有する高分子液晶を充填し、シリカ逆オパール膜と光応答性高分子液晶からなる複合体フィルムを作製した。このフィルムは、周期長および屈折率に応じた擬似的なフォトニックバンドギャップ形成に基づき、ある特定の波長の光を反射する性質を示した。平成19年度は、この複合体フィルムに偏光照射することで20nmから25nm程度の反射光の光変化を誘起することに成功し、このスイッチング状態がメモリー性を有していることを見出した。平成20年度は、波長変化を大きくすることを目的に、大きな複屈折率を示すことが知られている、トラン基をアゾベンゼン分子と共重合することで、30nm以上の反射光変化を誘起することに成功した。
