Research Abstract |
動脈瘤の危険予知と血管内治療に関し,流体力学者の視点を中心に据えながら体外実験と数値計算を行いデータを蓄積した.主な研究成果は,(1) 分岐脳動脈瘤の発生・成長過程についての仮説を組み立て,(2) 分岐脳動脈瘤の破裂の危険性について論じた. さらに(3) ステント特性の評価法を提示し,(4) 効果的なステントの設計として流れ適合ステントを提示した.最後に(5) 血管内治療の安全性をめざしてステント装着,カテーテル挿入時の安全指針についても言及した.
