Research Abstract

半導体製造技術をベースにした微細加工技術の進歩は, μm またはnm オーダの熱輸送ディバイスの製作を可能にした. このような小さな系では, 重力の影響よりも固体と液体の界面が重要な役割を果たし, 界面効果が顕著になる. 本研究では, ナノスケールの分子動力学解析を進めると同時に, 微細加工技術を用いたマイクロスケールの伝熱実験を行い, ナノ構造が固液界面の伝熱特性に及ぼす影響を調べた. 固液界面の伝熱特性は, 流路寸法が50μm 以下になれば界面構造の影響を受けやすく, 親水部と疎水部を交互に配置した機能性伝熱面が固液界面の熱物性を能動的に制御できることが分かった.
