| Research Abstract |
光学顕微鏡で波長以下の像(回折限界以下の像)を観察できないように、伝播光を光の回折限界以下の微小な領域へ適用することはできない。しかし、近接場光(入射光の周波数で振動する空気中へ染み出した電気力線)を用いると当該回折限界を打破できる可能性ある。
本研究では、今後の高度情報化社会を支えるシステムのキーデバイスとなる高密度に集積可能な光・電子集積デバイスの実現に向け、(1) 伝播光を近接場光へ変換する素子構造の開発を行うとともに、(2) 当該素子により発生させた近接場光を介した光周波数信号の伝達を実現した。
