Research Abstract

本研究では、降雪粒子が降雪雲から地上付近に落下してくるまでの降雪過程を詳細に捕らえ、局所的な降雪予測を行うことを目的とした。
小型垂直ドップラーレーダとスペクトル・アナライザを用いて、鉛直方向の降雪プロファイルの測定および地上付近水平面上の降雪プロファイル測定装置の開発を試みた。次に、画像処理手法により、地上付近を落下する降雪粒子の雪質と形状、落下速度、密度および降雪強度等の物理量の両方の測定を行うシステムの開発を行った。さらに、同期計測システムを作成して冬季期間連続測定を行い、種々の降雪現象をデータベース化した。
