| Research Abstract |
西オーストラリア半乾燥地域にある裸地での水収支や塩分収支の構造解明とそれに関わる蒸発、流出などの諸要素の数量評価を、当該地で、かって実施した気象・水文観測のデータ解析などを通して行った。特に雨季(6月~9月)では、降雨の流出率は70%、蒸発量は降雨量の10-20%程度となり、その間の塩類(主にNaCl)の年流出量は概略1kg/m2 のオーダと見積もられた。また夏季(乾季)での塩クラストを有する地面直下の乾燥土壌層での蒸発-凝結-土湿の日変化特性などの興味ある知見も得られた。
