Research Abstract |
An atiferromagnetic half metal is a new concept material that is useful for spintronics in the future. In this study, we carried out new-materials search for a half metal from transition-metal oxides using high-pressure synthesis technique. We discovered new materials, Sr_2CuRe_<0.69-x>M_xCa_<0.31>O_6 (M=W, Mo), Sr_<2-x>A_xCuRe_<0.69>Ca_<0.31>O_6 (A=K, La), Ca_<1-x>Na_xCo_2O_4 etc. Although half-metallic properties have not yet been achieved, these materials are still candidate for the antiferromagnetic half metals.
