Research Abstract

格子間原子集合体の一次元運動機構は、原子力材料の寿命に影響を与える要因として注目されているが、その基本的性質はよく理解されていない。超高圧電子顕微鏡を用いて電子照射により生成される格子間原子集合体の挙動を観察・解析し、分子動力学シミュレーションとの比較により、純鉄の一次元運動には微量の不純物が決定的な影響を与えていることを見いだし、そのモデル化に成功した。また多量の溶質元素を含む実用材料においても一次元運動が起こりうることを実験的に明らかにした。
