Research Abstract

メダカのTol1因子では、転移頻度がある世代で突然上昇するという現象が起こる。この現象の分子レベルでの機構を探るために、転移酵素遺伝子をもつ因子のメダカへの導入と、転移頻度の測定を主体とする実験を、行った。高い転移頻度を示したメダカでは、因子の挿入は、遺伝子の下流で起こっていた。この結果から、上流の遺伝子からのリードスルーが転移酵素mRNAの増加をもたらし、これが転移頻度の上昇につながると、推測した。
