Research Abstract

渦鞭毛虫のうちレンズ型の眼を持つもの3種を採集し、cDNA ライブラリの作成を終了した。その結果、幾つかの眼に関係する遺伝子候補を発見した。詳細に関しては、現在、論文を準備中である。また、免疫染色により渦鞭毛虫におけるタンパク質の局在を調べたところ、これらのうちのいくつかは、眼に局在もしくは偏在していることが示唆されており、渦鞭毛虫のレンズを持つ器官は、少なくとも機能性分子のレベルでは、他の生物種のレンズ眼に対応する可能性が示唆された。
