Research Abstract

カシワの葉にコロニーを形成するTuberculatus属アブラムシにはアリ共生型種T. quercicola と非共生型T. japonicus, T. paikiが知られており,これらの種の成虫は全て翅を持つ有翅虫となる。野外において,この3種の飛翔の程度をトラップ設置により調査した。その結果,捕獲数の大部分が2種の非共生型で,アリ共生型はほとんど捕獲されなかった。アリ共生型アブラムシは翅があっても,ほとんど飛翔していないことが明らかになった。さらに野外で飼育したT. quercicola とT. paikiの形態測定の結果,アリ共生型のT. quercicolaは太めの体型をしており,絶対値としての子供の数は多いものの,その割合は非共生型のT. paikiに比べて低かった。
