Research Abstract |
Endocytic internalization of receptor plays a critical role in down-regulation of receptor-mediated signaling, such as cell growth and differentiation. Here we identify recruitment of receptors to pre-existing clathrin-coated pits as a key step regulated by receptor phosphorylation and subsequent ubiquitination upon ligand binding.
