Research Abstract

G 蛋白質やCa^<2+>等の細胞内シグナルはそれぞれ真核生物において必須であるが、これらは互いに制御しあうことによって、シグナルをより一層精緻に形作っている。本研究では、構造生物学的アプローチによって、両者のシグナル変換素子の相互作用を原子レベルで明らかにするために、複合体の単結晶作成を目的とした。その結果、2つのシグナルの変換素子であるRGS 蛋白質とCaM の複合体の結晶作成に適した蛋白質の設計に成功した
