Research Abstract

本研究では、ゲノムDNA上のメチル化模様の形成機構を生化学的に理解することを目指し、DNAメチル化酵素(Dnmt)の性質を再構成したヌクレオソームを基質にして詳細に試験管内で解析を行った。その結果、DNA上に新規なメチル化模様を書き込むタイプのDnmt3aは、ヌクレオソームの高次構造に依存したメチル化活性を示すという新たな知見が得られた
