Research Abstract

膜タンパク質の機能場である生体膜の総合的な理解を目指し、バクテリオロドプシンを合成脂質膜へ再構成した試料を用いて、脂質膜の構造・物性がバクテリオロドプシンの構造形成・機能発現に及ぼす影響を、分光学的な方法を中心に用いて調べた。その結果、脂質膜の相挙動がタンパク質のいくつかの階層構造に大きく影響を与えること、機能発現上きわめて重要な中間体に大きく影響を及ぼすこと等を明らかにした。
