Research Abstract

細胞のタンパク質合成装置であるリボソームは、多数のタンパク質とリボソームRNAより構成される。リボソームRNAは、前駆体分子のプロセシングにより形成されるが、この現象にはエキソヌクレアーゼやRNAヘリカーゼから成る複合体が関与している。本研究では、AAAファミリーに属するシャペロン様ATPaseであるNVL2が、この複合体と相互作用し、リボソームRNAのプロセシングに関与することが明らかとなった。
