Research Abstract

アフリカツメガエル幼生尾部の再生には、再生芽の先端で強く発現するXwnt-5aが重要な働きを持つ。Xwnt-5aの作用機構を明らかにすることを中心として、尾部再生における基部一先端パターン形成のメカニズムを明らかにしようとした。その結果、Xwnt-5は幼生尾部組織に直接作用すること。Canonical Wntシグナル経路ではなく、JNKシグナルを経由すること。再生芽の伸長やパターン形成にはWntシグナルに加えてFGFやhedgehogシグナルも重要であることなどがわかった。
