Research Abstract

我々は生物の有する優れた酵素機能を用いて、新たな化合物を創製する研究を実施している。具体的にはoxygenase酵素及びprenyl transferase酵素を用いて、フェノール性水酸基及びプレニル側鎖(ジメチルアリルorゲラニル)を有する多くのナフタレン化合物を創製することに成功した(多くは新規物質)。これらのナフタレン化合物の多くは、極めて優れた抗酸化活性を有しており、新しい医薬品・食品添加剤の候補として期待される。
