Research Abstract

血漿ホモシステイン(Hcy)濃度は動脈硬化の危険因子として知られている。本研究では、血漿Hcy 濃度に及ぼす食事タンパク質およびアミノ酸の影響をラットを用いて検討した。血漿Hcy 濃度は食事タンパク質の種類や量の影響を受けること、ある種のアミノ酸(Gly,Ser, Cys)は血漿Hcy 濃度を低下させることなどを明らかにするとともに作用機構の解析を行った。これらの研究結果から、血漿Hcy 濃度は食事タンパク質やアミノ酸により制御できることが明確になった。
