| Research Abstract |
本研究では, 魚類の免疫特性を利用したウイルス性出血性敗血症(VHS)の新規予防法を開発した。すなわち, VHSに対するホルマリン不活化ワクチンをヒラメの至適水温20℃で接種後, 同じ水温で約3週間飼育するワクチン投与法により, ヒラメの感染防御能を確実に誘導することが可能であり, その感染防御能は少なくとも98日間持続することが明らかとなった。本予防法を応用すれば, ヒラメVHSを効率良く予防できる実用的なワクチンが開発できるであろう。
