| Research Abstract |
有明海における赤潮増加の機構を解明するため, 植物プランクトンと光環境の変動を中心にした現地調査・データ解析を行うと共に, 生態系シミュレーションモデルを構築した. モデル構築にあたっては, 有明海奥部の植物プランクトン生産に強く影響する光環境について充分な現況再現ができるように, 現地で得たパラメータを用いて透明度の変動をモデル内部で計算できるようにした. さらに, 有明海と瀬戸内海について, 透明度・栄養塩・植物プランクトン量等の変動機構について比較検討した.
