Research Abstract

本研究は、日本及びアジアの在来牛について、プリオン遺伝子の多様性解析を行い。プリオン遺伝子頻度の各品種及び地域集団の特徴を分析した。また、プリオン遺伝子のハプロタイプ解析を行い、その集団間の違いと延髄におけるプリオン遺伝子の発現量の際について解析をおこなった。その結果、日本及びアジアの在来牛のプリオン遺伝子のDNA多型の頻度は集団間で異なり、延髄におけるプリオン遺伝子の発現量は品種間で異なることが判明した。
