Research Abstract

悪性水腫を引き起こすClostridium septicumの主要な病原因子であるα毒素の心停止機構を自立拍動するラット胎児の初代心筋細胞を用いて分子レベルで解析した。α毒素添加後に誘導される心筋細胞の急激な収縮停止はα毒素が細胞に結合し、oligomerとなりpore(孔)を形成することにより誘導されることが明らかとなった。気腫疽の原因菌であるC. chauvoeiの主要な病原因子と考えられているhemolysinはα毒素に比べて細胞致死活性が弱いが、温度感受性は低くα毒素と異なる機構によって細胞を傷害し病原性を発揮すると考えられる。
