Research Abstract

精子形成はきわめて複雑な細胞分化過程であり、この過程における遺伝子発現は転写のみならず細胞質での転写後および翻訳レベルでの制御がとりわけ重要な役割を担っている。申請者はこれまでに、精子形成細胞の細胞質特異的に存在する新規ポリA鎖付加酵素TPAPを同定し、精子形成に必須であることを明らかにしている。本研究では、その伸長機構と欠損による精子形成不全の分子機構および精巣特異的細胞質ポリA鎖結合タンパク質PABPC2について解析を行い、精子形成過程におけるポリA鎖の動態について検討した。
