Research Abstract

核酸の塩基および高次構造を特異的に認識する金属錯体としてデザイン・合成した強固な八面体配位構造をもつジロジウム錯体を用いて, 核酸の塩基配列および高次構造が既知のDNAオリゴヌクレオチドあるいはDNAポリマーとの反応を行い, ジロジウム錯体が核酸塩基を特異的に認識すること, 一本鎖DNAおよび左巻二本鎖DNAと結合するが, 右巻二本鎖DNAと結合しないこと, この塩基および高次構造特異的認識が配位子間相互作用(水素結合, 静電的相互作用, 立体障害)に基づくことを明らかにした。
