Research Abstract |
本研究では、Rothmund-Thomson症候群の原因遺伝子産物RecQL4の機能について検討した。まず、生化学と細胞生物学の手法により、RecQL4がポリADPリボシルポリメラーゼに依存する形でDNA損傷部位に集まり、損傷の修復に関わる可能性が示された。さらに、RecQL4と相互作用するタンパク質の同定を試みた結果、DNA損傷応答や転写に関連するタンパク質の他、様々なタンパク質修飾に関係したタンパク質と相互作用することが見出されたため、種々のタンパク質修飾がRecQL4の機能を調節していると考えられた。
